Millennials have no problem conforming to the contemporary vehicles of marketing.... Baby Boomers on the other hand are having a more difficult of a time adapting. Ten years ago there were very few Facebook users above the age of thirty fast forward to 2015 and there is a plethora of ages using the platform....Yes, that includes my grandma.
Your business cannot be stuck in the past in order to be successful, and adopting social media as one of your marketing strategies is definitely a good idea. Not only can you market your business for pretty much next to nothing. Social Media opens up doors of communication between business and consumer. Contacting a company via social media forces the company to act quickly which is wat the consumer usually wants. This is because the issue is public. Other consumers can see the issue and the company will be more proactive at fixing the issue.
Also, engagement with customers goes up. Business's can monitor what customers or the general public is thinking by simply signing on to their social media accounts. Engagement increases sales and customer satisfaction. Social Media is a no brainer tool to use so use it!
