Becoming a "Viral VIRUS"

GO VIRAL!

To go viral you need to keep certain components in mind....

Keep posts positive. Positive content has a greater chance of being liked. No one wants to see negative posts. Remember, when you post on social media platforms you are basically marketing what you are doing, believe in, or like. A lot of perceptions are channeled through a picture. If you post negative content...who will follow you? I can't say, but i do know that people's first impression of your account will not be good and they will less likely follow you. On social media, all you get is one chance to attract people, once they are gone, ....they are gone.

Posts should also arouse an emotion from the viewer and going against what I said previously the post should arouse negative or positive emotion. Usually useful and informative information gets shared and usually these kind of posts arouse emotions.

Harnessing the Power of Memes

http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/226955

Learning how to harness the power of memes to marketing your business can be as beneficial as spending thousands of hard earned on marketing. Tapping into the power of memes can give you a huge boost over your competitors.

The word "Meme" comes from the ancient greek world mimeme. Meme is the concept of spreading ideas and cultural phenomenon.  Meme is the idea of language as a virus. This is not pertaining to an actually virus, but the idea that a cultural phenomenon can become viral.

These are the steps to create a viral phenomenon (aka) Meme.

1.  You have to pay Attention to Pop culture. To effectively understand what people are thinking you have to follow pop culture. Pop culture includes trends and ideas of modern culture. Memes are little pockets of pop culture that depict what we are thinking at that moment.

2. You need to work quickly. Once you find something that is relevant or coordinates well to your business; timing is everything. An example would be paying attention to what is going on in the world and integrating components of your business in with the current event. Current events especially the one used in this article usually are trending at the time they happen. This is the reason you need to work quickly. The article uses and example "Oreo" posted. When the rover landed on mars they posted a Half Oreo with red cream exposed to replicated mars with tire tracks moving through the cream with the caption saying "We come in peace. With Oreo cookies".

3. Preparation is key! Memes aren't all about what is trending at the time; that is just one example. You should also search and look for elements in your business that are meme worthy.  Connect parts of your business that have to do with funny videos on youtube or pictures that can be manipulated to portray a certain aspect of your business in a quick and funny way. Memes are usually funny...they show the business's comical personality.

Include these elements in your meme: a quality picture, humor, and use the most effective platform to share your meme with the world!
